Best known as the owner of the New England Patriots and Gillette Stadium, Robert is an extremely successful business mogul and a father of four. His adult sons — Jonathan Kraft, Daniel Kraft, Josh Kraft and David Kraft — have been part of many of the family's ventures, with three still involved in the Kraft Group.

Robert shares his children with his late wife, Myra Kraft. According to The New York Times, Robert met Myra at a Boston deli in February 1962, while both were still in college (Robert at Columbia and Myra at Brandeis), and they wed in June 1963. The couple were married for 48 years, until Myra died of ovarian cancer in July 2011.

His eldest son, Jonathan, is the president of the New England Patriots and the Kraft Group — Robert's holding company encompassing various business interests such as sports, entertainment, packaging, philanthropy and real estate development. Since Kraft purchased the Patriots in 1994, the NFL team has won six Super Bowl championships, all under former coach Bill Belichick and retired quarterback Tom Brady, and is looking to win its seventh at the 2026 Super Bowl on Feb. 8.

Daniel is the president of Kraft Group-International, while Josh is the president of the New England Patriots Foundation. David left the family company in 2012, per Boston Magazine.

"It's the greatest thing," the billionaire entrepreneur told The Sports Business Journal in May 2022. "Right now, I see three of my sons every day. Jonathan has put in the most energy and effort and has been a full partner, but Danny and Josh have each come in, Danny in the international area has been awesome, and Josh in the philanthropic area. So, I'm pretty lucky."

Robert told financier David Rubenstein during an interview in August 2023 that he "will never in my lifetime" sell the Patriots — and he hopes his children keep the franchise going.

Robert and Myra welcomed their first son, Jonathan, on March 4, 1964, according to Harvard Business School Alumni.

After Jonathan graduated from Williams College with a bachelor's degree in history in 1986, he began his career as a consultant at Bain & Company Inc., per his bio on the official Kraft Group website. In 1990, Jonathan returned to school and graduated with an MBA from Harvard Business School, following in his father's footsteps (Robert earned the same degree from HBS in 1965). Jonathan joined his father at the Kraft Group upon graduation.

Today, Jonathan is the president of both the New England Patriots and the Kraft Group, managing much of the Kraft Group's day-to-day operations. He also serves on the Board of Dean's Advisors at Harvard Business School and the board of trustees for numerous organizations, including the Massachusetts General Hospital Board, where he's the chair, Belmont Hill School and Dexter Southfield, as well as a member of the MIT School of Engineering Dean's Advisory Council and the Advisory Board for the Billie Jean King Leadership Initiative and the chair of the Boston Children's Hospital Stem Cell Advisory Board.

In January 2019, on the 25th anniversary of Robert purchasing the Patriots, Jonathan told The New York Times how his father took him to every meeting and how he's proud that they've grown both the Patriots and the culture of football in New England.

"Looking back on it, it's been 25 years really filled with most of the highs that we wanted to achieve and a lot of bumps, but also football is in a different place than when we bought the team, and that was our hope and our goal," he said.

Jonathan usually works behind the scenes but has been seen at Super Bowl celebrations, Brady's Patriots Hall of Fame induction and Patriots games. Brady has also thanked Jonathan for his role in the organization, and the eldest Kraft child was even interviewed for the Apple TV docuseries The Dynasty: New England Patriots.

Jonathan married his wife Patricia Lipoma in 1995 at his parents' home in Chestnut Hill, Mass. The two met while working at Bain & Co., according to The Boston Globe. They have three kids together: Harry, Sadie and Jacob. Harry, the oldest, shares his family's love of football and played quarterback at Dartmouth College.

Daniel is the second-oldest son in the Kraft family. He graduated from Tufts University in 1987, where he also played lacrosse for the Tufts Jumbos. Daniel has been involved in the sport, working with Israel Lacrosse since 2012.

After graduating from Tufts, Daniel worked for TeleRep, a large television station representative, before joining the Kraft Sports Group as the vice president of marketing upon Robert’s purchase of the Patriots in 1994, according to his bio on the Kraft Group website. In that role, he was responsible for all team and stadium sponsorship sales, broadcast rights, promotions, advertising and special events.

Daniel is also the president of the Kraft Group-International, a private holding company based out of Boston, and the president and CEO of International Forest Products LLC, a Kraft Group subsidiary and the world’s largest privately-owned forest products commodity trading company. He serves on the board of directors for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the executive board of the American Forest & Paper Association.

Daniel shares three children with his wife, Wendy Kraft.

Josh is the third-oldest Kraft son. After earning his bachelor's degree from Williams College and his master’s degree in education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, Josh began a decades-long career with the Boys & Girls Club of Boston. Per his Kraft Group bio, he founded the Boys & Girls Club of Chelsea in 1993 and served as the organization's executive director for 15 years.

A longtime philanthropist, Josh currently works as the president of the New England Patriots Foundation. He is on the boards of the Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts, serving as board chair, the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and Brigham and Women's Hospital, and he is the co-chair of Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey's Hate Crimes Task Force.

Josh has shared photos of his community involvement on Instagram, from attending galas and appearing on judging baking competitions to participating in local events. He ran for mayor of Boston in 2025, but The New York Times reported that he suspended his campaign on Sept. 11 that year.

"My parents led by doing, not telling. My mother was not just writing checks; she was getting involved and understanding the organizations that we supported," Josh told Salvation Army Connects in January 2023. "My father is the same way. He loves to meet the folks behind the scenes and learn how they work. They both loved organizations that were close to the community; they felt that the gifts to those organizations were the most impactful."

In March 2023, the Boston Herald reported that Josh was cancer-free after he revealed he was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2018 and underwent treatment at the Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center, followed by prostate gland removal surgery in 2019, and later radiation and hormone therapy treatment.

Josh is the father of two daughters, Becca Hannah and Anna, who have followed in his philanthropic footsteps at non-profit organizations. Becca is also a singer, as her dad has praised her music on Instagram. Divorced, he is with partner Michelle Perez Vichot, the director of the 'Quin Impact Fund, per the Boston Globe.

David Kraft

David is the youngest of the Kraft children and the most independent from the Kraft business endeavors. At his mother Myra's funeral in 2011, he spoke about her philanthropic legacy and the lessons she taught him as a child.

In 2012, David left the family business and sued Robert over his access to the Kraft family trust, which was created in 1982. According to Boston.com, the state's Supreme Judicial Court ruled in 2013 to allow for altering the trust so that Robert's four sons could serve as trustees and distribute funds.
