Magic Johnson gives shoutout to MSU basketball, hockey teams after huge Saturday wins

It was a successful weekend of Michigan State athletics, and the winning on the ice and court even caught the attention of Spartans legend Earvin "Magic" Johnson.
On Monday, Johnson took to social media to post about the notable victories of the Michigan State hockey and men's basketball programs on Saturday. Johnson pointed out how the Spartans knocked off rival Michigan to keep the "Iron D" trophy for a third straight season, and that was followed up by the men's basketball team picking up a massive win over previously No. 5 Illinois at the Breslin Center.

Johnson is often engaging on social media and will acknowledge when the Spartans have success on the field, court or ice. So it's not surprising to see him give the hockey and men's basketball teams a shoutout after a fun Spartans Saturday.
Let's hope we can see some more strong play from the Spartans in the coming weeks that'll again earn a shoutout from Johnson.
