Speaking on the Draymond Green show, he said: “So many people crushed Nico for the reasons that he gave [for trading Luka Doncic]. When Nico gave those reasons, everybody said, ‘He’s ridiculous, he’s crazy.’”
Green added: “Now, when I turn on the TV, all I see is the media that crushed Nico Harrison, which essentially aided in him getting fired, regurgitating the same things that Nico Harrison was saying.”
Green argued that analysts who initially dismissed Harrison’s justification are now echoing similar basketball logic when evaluating roster construction and long-term planning.

The Warriors star continued: “I haven’t seen one person come out and say, ‘Hey Nico, I’m sorry for the things I said about you when you made that move because I just said the same things out of my mouth.’”
Green concluded, stating: “This has nothing to do with Luka and everything to do with the media and Nico Harrison.
“Nico gave his reasoning as the general manager of the team, why he thought that was the right move. Everybody said, ‘You’re a f______ idiot. You should be fired. Worst GM in NBA history.'”
The Warriors veteran framed the issue as accountability rather than basketball opinion. In his view, shifting narratives should come with acknowledgement when prior criticism proves inconsistent.
Whether the media will respond directly remains to be seen, but Green’s comments have reignited debate around the original trade and its aftermath.
