Prevc makes it a dozen season wins on Austrian flying hill

Slovenian star Domen Prevc held off a quartet of jumpers from hosts Austria to win the first post-Olympic ski jumping World Cup event on the massive Kulm flying hill.

Placed second behind Austrian Stephan Embacher with 213.5 metres, he added a competition best 228.5m in the second for victory. Embacher trailed by the fraction of 1.1 points with 223m and 219.5m.
Jonas Schuster got his first career podium in third in Bad Mitterndorf, ahead of team-mates Daniel Tschofenig, who rose from 13th to fourth, and Maximilian Ortner.
Prevc has dominated the season in which he won the Four Hills Tour, the ski flying world title as well as large hill and mixed team gold at the Milan/Cortina Winter Games which ended last week.
Saturday's success was his 12th of the season and 21st overall as he further closed in on a maiden World Cup title, now 693 points ahead of Japan's Ryoyu Kobashi with nine events left.
Other Nordic skiing World Cup events on Saturday are women's normal hill ski jumping in Hinzenbach, Austria and cross-country women's and men's sprints at the Swedish venue of Falun.
