Bucs Use Big Seventh Inning to Finish Series Sweep of Quinnipiac

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) – ETSU Buccaneers baseball finished off a dominant weekend Sunday, taking down Quinnipiac 16–5 in eight innings to complete a three-game sweep at home.

The Bucs broke the game open with an explosive late surge, scoring 11 runs over the final two innings to secure its third straight series sweep and improve to 9–2 on the season. The Buccaneers piled up 18 hits, with every player who stepped to the plate recording at least one.
Tristan Curless led the offensive charge, going 3-for-4 with a home run, three RBIs and three runs scored. Griffin Sorrow added three hits and crossed the plate four times, while Ian Guanzon and Henry Ferguson combined to drive in eight runs.
ETSU now turns its attention to a gauntlet road matchup Tuesday against the Tennessee Volunteers, with first pitch set for 4 p.m. in Knoxville.
