What insight can you share on what that mentorship looks like? Gobert: “Victor is passionate about health, recovery, and the mental aspect of the game. He’s very young. But at the same time, he already understands how to improve things for his daily lifestyle and his daily recovery. A few days ago, he asked me what kind of filter I have in my house for water. Those are things that not a lot of 22-year-olds are asking. It shows how smart he is. But it also shows how dedicated he is to every aspect of greatness. That’s just an example.” – So it sounds like you pay attention to that stuff, too. What has that done for you? Gobert: “Oh yeah. I’m huge on all of that. I might not be as talented as he is. But I’m someone that in my whole life and my whole career, I’ve been working my ass off to try to be in this league and try to have an impact in this league. So being able to share the knowledge with the younger guys is very important.”
