The Wisconsin Badgers 24-10 (14-6 Big Ten) are officially a No. 5 seed in the 2026 NCAA Tournament.

Bracketology projections had Wisconsin around the No. 5 seed line for quite some time and that was made official on Selection Sunday. The team finds itself in the West Region, where the No. 1 seed is Arizona.

The Badgers' first-round opponent will be No. 12-seed High Point, which finished the regular season at 30-4 (15-1 Big South). That’s an incredibly dangerous matchup for Wisconsin, as the Panthers haven’t lost a game since January 14.

In fact, High Point has lost just one game since it got off to an 8-3 start. The team is 21-1 in its last 22 games and has scored as many as 129 points in a game this season.

Wisconsin will be playing in Portland, Oregon, on Thursday, March 19. Should the Badgers win, they’ll take on either No. 4 Arkansas or No. 13 Hawaii on Saturday, March 21.
